November 7, 2025

We had a successful Lockdown Drill this week. The students and staff were all prepared and the practice went smoothly. A reminder that the snack packs for our upcoming school play trip have gone up on School Cash, so please make sure you go online to purchase if you are interested. The Gracefield students have been busy preparing for our Remembrance Day Assembly next week, making art in classes, and the choir has been practicing! We look forward to seeing families at this special assembly.

Upcoming Remembrance Day Assembly November 11th at 11 am

On November 11, 2025, Gracefield staff and students will respectfully commemorate Remembrance Day with a recognition ceremony in our gymnasium. Families are welcome to join us for this important assembly. Please note that photographs and videos should not be taken at assemblies or school events, as we have many students whose images are not to be shared electronically

Remembrance Day Display in Library

We have borrowed a kit from the St. Catharine’s museum that includes artifacts and informational posters on the contributions of St. Catharine’s citizens during wartimes. It will be on display in the library for the next week. A collection of library books related to Remembrance Day are also on display and available for students to check out during this week.

Progress Reports

On Thursday, November 20th, all kindergarten students will receive their Communication of Learning, and Gr 1 to 8 students will receive their Progress Report Card. We encourage you to review the report with your child, celebrating their strengths and discussing the next steps identified by their teacher. Your interview time for the upcoming conferences will be shared at that time.

Book your Parent-Teacher Conference today!

You have the opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher during Parent-Teacher Conferences on the evening of Thursday, November 27th. To book a time for an interview, please complete this Interview Request Form. Please complete this form ASAP, and we will do our best to accommodate your requested time. If you ever have any questions or concerns outside of this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher. If you require two copies of your child’s report card, please notify the office or your child’s teacher.
